LYNDON — The Select Board is putting off a decision on an estimated $880,000 renovation of the municipal gym as members weigh the project against flood recovery costs, renovation of the Sanborn covered bridge, and other major expenses facing the town.
The board took no formal action Tuesday but questioned whether it makes sense to borrow nearly $1 million to renovate part of the aging Municipal Office Building while the town faces other costly projects.
On Tuesday, board members focused more on the project’s timing and the town’s broader priorities than on the renovation’s design.
