Vermont State Police and New Hampshire State police are investigating the parent of a Canaan School student who is accused of making a school threat. New Hampshire police are involved because the parent was in New Hampshire when the reported threat was made. The school was closed on Tuesday and a police presence was expected there. The investigation is ongoing. Police have not made any arrests and have not provided the identity of the parent suspected of the threat.
