The Vermont State Police has released its latest summary of internal investigations against its troopers. The document released Friday deals with investigations between Jan. 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021. The 11 investigations ranged from a trooper who resigned after making social media posts in support of the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection in Washington to a report that two troopers were discourteous to the public. In that case the investigation found that no policies were violated. Beginning in 2019 the commissioner of Public Safety and the State Police Advisory Commission began releasing summaries of the commission’s work.
