St. Johnsbury Police arrested a local man for alleged felony trespass into an apartment

St. Johnsbury Police arrested a local man for alleged felony trespass into an apartment where the man serves as a landlord. Randy Bedard, 52, of St. Johnsbury, faces a charge of unlawful trespass into an occupied dwelling for reportedly entering an apartment at 134 Maple Street and refusing to leave. According to a report by Officer George Johnson, it was about 9 a.m. on Thursday when police went to the apartment building after a 911 call from April Bagley who was “screaming that someone had broken into her apartment.” Capt. Jason Gray and Officer Johnson arrived at the apartment and heard yelling from inside. They found Bagley, her boyfriend Richard Petes and Bedard. Petes and Bagley stated that Bedard had let himself into their apartment and was refusing to leave. Bedard was cited to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on July 25.
