Authorities with the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department identified a woman who died after hiking Mt. Cabot on Sunday. Danielle Amber Papa, 40, of Schaghticoke, N.Y., suffered a medical emergency while descending Mt. Cabot. She and her fiancé were on the Bunnell Notch Trail in Kilkenny when Papa started experiencing what fish and game officers called a “serious medical condition.” After all the lifesaving efforts performed by the victim’s finance, other hikers, and rescue personnel, Papa did not survive. Her body was flown to the Berlin Regional Airport in Milan where it was transferred to a local fuhome. Papa’s Papa’s cause of death has not yet been released by the medical examiner’s office.
